VorpX requires a beefy computer as to get the best results (clarity) you'll really have to increase the resolution. But my favourite one is Portal 2, it was really awesome to play it in VR (though the gun was a bit glitchy).īut not all games work great, and in addition to be compatible with the direct VR function, to get the best results they have also have to support geometry 3D (full 3D) as the z-buffer 3D (simulated 3D) is not as good. I played quite a lot of games using vorpX, and I really enjoyed playing the Bioshock and Half-Life series in VR. I don't really bother with the settings (except the resolution) and I only played games compatible with the Direct VR feature which will adjust all the VR settings automaticaly (I really didn't want to fiddle with the settings of non compatible games). Games are in 3D with head tracking (for FPS games) or on a big screen in 3D for games like The Witcher. You play seated with your Xbox controller or keyboard and the experience is similar to what you get with a game like Subnautica. VorpX works great for some games as long as you don't have crazy expectations (it won't trurn a flat game into a full fledge VR game with room scale and motion controllers support) and that you don't get sick in VR (there are no comfort settings whatsoever).
